Haunted.
It was the honeymoon of Chloe and Dan, and they both agreed to spend their honeymoon at the beach house which is very far from home.
After the wedding, Chloe excitedly packed her bag and that of her husband, facing him, she secured her hands on his shoulder, "Hey babe, I can't wait to spend this honeymoon at the Blue-Skye beach, it's gon be so much fun with just you and I", "Yeah, yeah it sure would be the best time of our lives.", he replied, planting a kiss on her forehead.
They held hands together and walked right into the car, they drove off shaking their heads to the music from the stereo.
It took about 5 hours to get to the "Blue-Skye beach", at about 9:45 pm, the beach was serene and just two buildings which were at two opposite ends were sighted.
" Which are we going for, the one on the left or the one on the right?, wearing a wide smile, Chloe excitedly asked, "You choose babe, and is just fine", Dan replied.
" Okay then, I choose the one on the right, I love how I can view the beach up close right from the window, oooooh, " Chloe said getting her luggage from the boot.
Dan helped out and they both got to the small hut designed like a reception where they booked the house and got their keys.
The Adventure begins
When they got into the house, it was cozy and serene, "Chloe, this is a great choice, my woman has a great eye for good things," he sat from one couch to another.
"Okay babe, let me have my bath, wanna come?", Chloe asked. " Not yet, babe, the ocean view is heavenly, go have a bath, I'll have mine soon", Dan replied as he stood beside the window side engrossed by the waves of the sea and the beautiful view of the ocean.
All of me loves all of you...Chloe was singing from the bathroom, while she was singing, she felt something tingling on her skin, smiling she thought it was Dan stroking her body, but when she turned she noticed she was alone, a few seconds later she felt like someone was pulling her hair and some seconds later again she felt a choking feeling on her neck but she could not see anyone, opening her eyes she saw a palm print on the window, then she screamed, that was when Dan heard a scream right from the bathroom.
"Babe, you okay?" He asked, But there was no response, then he ran into the bathroom only to see Chloe shivering and pointing at the window, "I saw hands on the window, it left a print right on the window", Chloe fearfully told Dan, holding him closely and burying her face in his shoulder.
" That might just be your imagination, you watch too many horror movies babe", he teased, "okay I'll be standing here, finish up".
Confident her hero was standing right beside her she began washing up again, and this time, she felt a sharp feeling like that of a stab on one side of her stomach, and now she opened her eyes again, she saw the palm's print pasting blood all over the window, " Dann-nn, can't you see? Bloooood!!!", Chloe screamed again pointing at the window.
Looking out the window, he didn't see anything, "Babe, is this a joke? there's nothing there.
Chloe became more fearful when she realized she was the only one experiencing this fearful thing.
She rushed out of the bathroom to the living room and then she started to see the door knobs shaking by themselves, the living room windows opened and shut right back by themselves and then she rushed back into the bathroom to where Dan was, I won't sleep here tonight, babe please let's go home".
Dan getting worried at their strange behavior of Chloe, " Babe, go home by this time? It's 11 pm and very risky to drive all alone on the road down home, it's a 5hours journey", please babe, I can't see anything fearful, don't know why you're this scared."
As soon as Dan finished talking, she started to hear a song from a melodious voice... " friends we were. How could you do this to me? You're having the time of your life but steal mine away?"
At that, her mind flashed back to Serah... Serah was Chloe's friend who she was jealous of because she had a happy and fulfilled life, Chloe stylishly poisoned Serah's drink at Serah's bridal shower, out of jealousy, and then paid some thugs to dispose of her body at a far place where no one could suspect.
To this day, Serah was declared missing as no one ever knew how she died nor found her corpse, it's been 9months now.
"Could this be Serah?" She soliloquized, 'Was her body disposed at this beach?".. Chloe went numb and frozen for a few minutes as she knew the honeymoon will become a haunt for her soul.
At this time, Serah's voice increased, "You stole my happiness... I am stealing yours too", at that Chloe knelt and said, "I am sorry Serah, I regretted my actions, I truly am". The whole thing started to get Dan scared as he realized Chloe was talking to herself at the top of her lungs and sweating profusely even in an air-conditioned room.
" Babe, you're getting me scared, you need to stop this..", Dan held her.
In no time, Dan could now hear the voice and all it said Serah wanted Dan to know how she was killed.
Serah looking through the window said "Tell him what you did, how you stole my life and happiness" A voice said as Dan listened attentively.
Before Dan could know it a hand was written on the window..She is a murderer. Chloe is a killer his eyes gazed at the clock, it was about 1:00 am by now.
Dan started to shiver as what he thought was mere imagination was becoming real.
He tried to open the door so that they could run out but the door refused to open and then the writing says You can't run away from me.. And then the door opened widely and slammed right back and they couldn't see anyone behind the wonders.
"We are doomed!" Placing his hands on his head Dan cried out.
Chloe had almost passed out, "please don't kill me, I will confess"
Chloe told Dan how she killed Serah in her bridal shower and got her disposed of.
Unknowingly to her, her corpse was disposed of at the Blue-Skye beach.
Serah gave Chloe an ultimatum to tell her family how she was killed, that all she wanted was justice to be served.
At this time it was 4:00 am, and Dan couldn't stand the thought of marrying a murderer, they left the beach in silence though on the same ride. She knew he would file for a divorce.
Chloe visited Serah's family and confessed and yes justice was served, she was sentenced to life imprisonment and the honeymoon never happened, it became a nightmare and yes the honeymoon became a haunt for her wicked soul.
