All she wanted was clarity and answers to her questions.

Why did he have to break her heart after giving him all of her?

He was like the largest part of her life, we could say, "her life revolved around him".

Cheryl couldn't understand why the man who claims to love her did her wrong. Why does he have to switch up on her and act like it wasn't love after all?

She cried, and hope for things to get better. But now, it's obvious he has moved on and she is still stuck thinking if she should still hold on or move on.

You see, Jeremy was all she had prayed for, he was a man with a happy vibe, he was romantic and he was cute! Oh, every lady's dream. Jeremy couldn't stay a day without talking to Cheryl and she loved the attention her man was giving her, she turned down so many guys on his behalf, and everything was cool until one fateful morning.

Jeremy wouldn't take her calls, he didn't even call her, and he wouldn't respond to her messages, Cheryl tried to find out what was wrong. She could sense everything was drifting apart.😪😪

Jeremy on the other hand loved her, but he just wanted her as a backup plan, so, he played along, he was a great actor!

Jeremy has had plans of living a good life abroad, he wanted to secure a green card at all costs.

A great opportunity showed up, wow! Jeremy's uncle linked him to a woman overseas, Jeremy was from Nigeria.
Without thinking twice, he jumped on the offer, and all of a sudden, Cheryl who he couldn't stay a day without talking to, became trash to him.
Everything she did irritated him, he even manipulated her emotionally until he finally spilled it out.

To think, he even said to her "you have to move on, there's a price we pay to get what we want, I want a better future for myself and I don't think I see you in that picture" he didn't see the need to be gracious with his speech, nor did he think he owed her an apology. Who would have thought the price to be paid was hurting a lady who loved him so much all for the "green card", the price to be paid was bringing so much pain to a heart who wished everything good for him, a heart who prayed so fervently for him even more than herself?

Who was Cheryl?
She was from an average Nigerian home, she had never asked him for anything as she was capable of taking care of herself financially, she was a young promising lady, very diligent, selfless, loving, and strong lady. She has had her fair share of heartbreak and never gave up on love. She'd always tell herself, "just this time, I might get it right".

She loved as if her heart had never been broken, she gave Him everything she could to make him feel loved. She was his number one fan and cheerleader.

All of these broke her down, her world crumbled because she never thought a day like this will come why? He was like a dream come true, although there's no perfect man out there, he was perfect for her. Cheryl did all she could to convince him to stay, she was scared of losing him and all they'd shared.

She lost the strength to move on, though, she's been hurt in the past, this was the deepest. What broke her down the most, was the words that came out of his mouth and how he didn't see the need to apologize for leading her on all along, while he knew she gave her all. She promised never to be selfless anymore because it cost her a lot. She ended up being hurt.

Jeremy on the other hand loved Cheryl's vibe and was more like wanting to eat his cake and have it, he didn't want her as a lover anymore, yet he still wanted all the attention she gave him and wanted them to remain friends.

Cheryl wanted the loving or nothing, she couldn't stand the thought of seeing him with someone else.

She kept asking herself. How could he? He knew he had planned on leaving the country in such a manner and still toyed with her feelings. How could someone who claims to love you move on so easily?

She realized she had to move on as well, and she realized she was wired to love selflessly, even though she's been hurt a billion times.

She drew strength from knowing that, someday she'll find someone who would love her the way she deserved to be loved and she believes that someday all the love she has given out will find its way back to her.

She bade him farewell from her heart and moved on and vowed that he'd never meet her where he left her.

Was it love after all?
If it was love, wasn't it worth fighting for?

Cheryl gave all she could but got hurt in the end, she believed in herself and was determined to be successful despite it all.  

She opened her heart to enjoy life once again, **"She loved like she's never been hurt before", **  don't change who you are because of an ugly incident, someday all the good you've done will find its way back to you.
