Since romance scams are on the rise here's a list of what to do.

1. Avoid blind dating.
Women are mostly cajoled by what they hear, the men sweet coat their words to win a place in a woman's heart while Men are mostly cajoled by what they see, their predators may upload a picture of a banging body, so both genders need to guard their hearts jealously, creating a sort of wall not to be cajoled by simply what they hear or see from a total stranger.
Ask to meet in person, before giving it a shot and demand face time often. If they avoid meeting in person or face time? They are scammers.

2. Do not share personal or sensitive information about yourself.
This part is very important, when you tell a stranger who is a scammer how successful you are or how wealthy you are, you are at a very big risk of getting scammed. Don't be too quick to share where you live, where you work, what you do, and other personal and sensitive information.
3. You are not a bank, don't send or receive money from them.
Be suspicious of those who share all their problems with you, with the intent of receiving money from you. Do not ask for money too. You could help them with words of encouragement like " I understand how you feel, don't worry everything will be fine.", mind you some of them will want to manipulate you by saying, "so you don't trust me enough to help me?" Please don't fall for it. Some will even ask you to loan them, and they will repay you, please don't send a stranger your money, no matter how long you've chatted or talked with them. Act like you don't have to.
4. Don't fall for every romantic signal. Especially the ones that are very early or sudden.
Make research as much as possible, don't be gullible, love doesn't grow easily. True love isn't based on appearance, but on good qualities, when you barely meet a person and they profess so much love for you, be on guard they only want to scam you.
Things to look out for.
Their profile is very recent.
They have very few followers or friends.
They have very few pictures. They use professional pictures or stolen pictures more.
They demand nudes either pictures or videos. (This is to blackmail you).
They are not straightforward and they hide their online presence.
When you call them, they'll never pick up your calls, they prefer to chat.
They will never send you casual pictures or selfies. They always have a story to tell.
They act so nice, almost perfect, and super caring.
They'll never introduce you to a friend or sibling.
They try to ignore all your flaws and make you feel you're perfect too.
I hope this article has been helpful. Stay wise, stay safe and be on the watch so you don't get scammed.
Thank you for stopping by, this is your girl Amie Geoffrey.
