A wedding that never happened.

Louisa was a very close friend of Lisa, they shared practically everything.

They shared love life stories, and their belongings and they were more like sisters rather than friends.

It turned out that, Louisa had finally met the love of her life Jimmy, Jimmy was more like a prayer answered, he was everything Louisa had craved in a man.

Jimmy on the other hand showered Louisa with so much love that she never had a moment to doubt all the love and times they'd spent together.

One evening, Jimmy had asked to see Lisa,(Louisa's friend) at a resort, the reason was not far-fetched as they began their conversation.

"So Lisa, how does Louisa prefer a proposal, private or public?" Jimmy excitedly asked Lisa, knowing she was in the best position to answer since he wanted it to be a surprise.

"Private!, she doesn't like too much attention, so make it private, somewhere cozy just both of you," Lisa replied.

Three days later.
Jimmy had decorated his room with so many flowers, candles lights, and light music, waiting to propose to the love of his life.

He had called Louisa over without giving her a hint and Louisa immediately wore a very beautiful black dress, looking beautiful as ever.

On getting to Jimmy's house, she opened the door and wow, it was the surprise of her life, Jimmy went down on his knees and asked the love of his life to spend eternity together.
Looking into her eyes, he smiled, "Louisa, please marry me".
Louisa was excited and nodded in affirmative to be his wife.

A few hours later, Louisa couldn't wait to share the story with her best friend Lisa.

" Lisa, we have a wedding to plan", she screamed excitedly.

"Yeah girl, you will make the prettiest bride ever" Lisa replied.

So they started to shop for the wedding as Jimmy had already told her to do so.

The wedding day arrived, Louisa was looking so beautiful, and she patiently waited for her prince charming to come downstairs as time wasn't on their side, the bride walked up the stairs to room 504, and immediately she opened the door she couldn't believe her eyes, Jimmy was passionately making out with her best friend, on a day that was supposed to be their wedding.

"Lisa!!!" In shock, she managed to utter as her eyes filled with water, she was shattered and broken, "I thought we were sisters, how could you do this to me?"

Lisa replied, "we share everything, I wanted to feel Jimmy just once before he finally becomes yours, I'm sorry though it was meant to be a secret."

Jimmy buried his face in the bed with shame and guilt, "see babe..."
Louisa cut him short, "there's no need to explain, I've come to realize that everything we shared was just an illusion."

She held her wedding dress and ran downstairs to a place where she could be left alone as she couldn't understand why her best friend chose to hurt her this bad.

A battle between desire and reality.

It was on the 28th of October, 2022 at exactly 12:30 am, Debbie woke up that midnight feeling unhappy.  Source It was her 28th birthday, and unlike other birthdays this one was different, she felt like a loser simply because she felt she wasn't doing enough and today is another reminder that she was getting older, most of her mates were married with kids, and others work in a very big firm and living the lives of their dreams.
