Family ties.
Here is another edition of the #Threetunetuesday
I have carefully chosen three tunes that show the value of family ties especially the role of mothers in our lives for this week.
Keep the family close by Drake.
This song was released in 2016.
I chose this song to remind us of how important our family is to us.
Sure, we will always have friends but ask yourself, do twenty friends play together for twenty years?
Truth is, we will fall out with some of our friends even our family members, however, the bond between family is very strong that though you might have made shitty mistakes in the past, they will always come through for you.
The last word of famILY says "I Love you" when every other kind of friendship ends, the family will always be family.
Here's a reminder to keep your family close, call your dad up, call your momma, and check up on your siblings. Family is everything.
Dear Mama By 2pac Shakur
Released in 1995.
This song is an appreciation for all the moms out there, we love you.
Moms are committed and strong, they are like our pillars, moms are selfless and sacrifice all for our comfort.
Tupac said, "To, keep me happy, there's no limit to the things you did".
"When I was hopeless, you say a word that could help me to focus."
Moms are doing a great job raising kids, it's really hard being a mom, the birth pangs, sleepless nights, and constant morals they instill in us.
This song reminds me of the Unconditional love my mom ever showed and how much I'm grateful for all the effort she put into raising me. The constant prayer for my future to be bright and all the best wishes.
Have you forgotten how your mom comes back home late from work and still fixes you something to eat late at night?
Moms would rather watch you sleep soundly and stay sleep deprived.
No matter how grown we are, we are still babies before our moms😄😄.
Moms are gold and their love shouldn't be taken for granted.
My mom is a queen and I love her.😍
What have you done to show your mom how much she means to you?
If your mom is still alive, oh you are fortunate, please shower mom all the love in the world.😍
Coat of many colors -by Dolly Parton
This song is gold, it was released in 1971.
Oh, I love this song so much, Dolly Parton was inspired to write this song based on her poor background.
Her mom was given a box of rags, but momma made a fine coat of many colors from the rag and then when she went to school, her friends made jest of her.
People who come from poor backgrounds can relate so well to this song.
I love how her mom taught her the value of contentment and being proud of what you own.
Our parents sacrifice a lot to make us happy, and though they might not give us the finest clothes, it is the best they could afford.
A gift with so much love is worth more than a gift with so much contempt.
"One is only intimidated if they choose to be".
Whatever our parents gave us, was the best they could offer and this song is a song of virtue.
How do we raise our kids? I learned a lot from this song, never to feel intimidated by what others own, to love mine and the things my parent gave me, and to raise my kids to be content with whatever they own.
Thank you for listening to my chosen songs for this week's #TTT
