Take Charge Of Your Life.

Hello, lovers of good music, I bring you good tunes that remind you to take charge of your life for this edition of #ttt .

Jordin Sparks -One step at a time
Released in 2007

This beautiful song brings the value of patience to play, as much as we want everything to work in a twinkle of an eye, we still need to take things slowly, more like taking one day at a time.

It is more like allowing time to play in our lives, ensuring we pass through the process to success, like this quote.

Rome was not built in a day.

Most of us believe in ourselves and we can't wait to show the world what we are made of.
Just like this part of the lyrics.

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet".

You wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it" and "You know you can if you get the chance"

In your face as the door keeps slamming."

Now you're feeling more and more frustrated," and "And you're getting all kind of impatient, waiting."

This might just be a stumbling block for us, because, at a point of trying and things not falling in play, we tend to lose hope or give up on the way, others tend to cut through corners which might backfire in the end, so here I resonate so well with this song because I want to be seen and heard and truly, I can't wait for the world to know my name, but I've not attained that dream yet, I keep striving because a child who was born yesterday didn't start running immediately, we learn how to crawl, walk, run and then jump.

Keala settle -This is me

I love love this song so much because it preaches self-acceptance, you have to love yourself enough to love your struggles, flaws, and insecurities.

It is stepping out boldly not hiding behind your mask, letting the world know that this is who you are and you should be taken for who you are.

I’m not a stranger to the dark
Hide away, they say
’Cause we don’t want your broken parts
I’ve learned to be ashamed of all my scars
Run away, they say
No one will love you as you are

Many people might have said these hurtful words to you, but don't let it sink in rather this part of the lyrics is what you should reply with.

When the sharpest words gonna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ‘cause here I come
And I’m marching to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies
This is me

Unapologetically, This is me, take me or leave me alone, I deserve to be loved and I deserve the best.

Unwritten -Natasha Bedingfield
Released in 2004

This is a great song that my sister made me fall in love with while growing up.

She would always remind me that every day of my life is like a blank page that is unwritten, I create the story.

To create a meaningful story, she would remind me to leave the doors of my life wide open, which means being open-minded to new opportunities, and not allowing fear or any obstacle to stop me from living my life to the full.

She would remind me to go out there and create my happiness, no one else can do that for me.

Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten".

I am reminded to take charge of my life, forget about the past, and worry less about the future. Take chances and just live my life.
