How Much Do You Love Yourself?
It's dangerous to let somebody love you more than you love yourself - Tatiana Manaois
Does that quote even make sense to you?
How much do you love yourself?
Well, these are thought-provoking questions inspired by the Yesterday, Every Day and Always Song by Tatiana.
I started listening to Tatiana in the year 2017, the first song of hers I heard was Like You, I fell in love with and wanted to hear more from her, so I started to dig for her songs and today I am so in love with the particular song I am about to share.
Yesterday, Everyday Always by Tatiana
This song got me thinking, how much do I love myself?
Loving myself shouldn't come with mood and season, I should love myself for all time and you should too.
Comparison steals our joy away and we begin to think less of ourselves and love ourselves less hoping to find someone who can love us better but the truth is, nobody can ever love you more than you love yourself and you cannot love people when you do not love yourself.
How can you even give what you don't have?
The way we love ourselves is a reflection of how we want others to love us.
One thing I have learned in my experience in life is to love myself enough to carry me through the bad and ugly days because people change and leave us in the middle of nowhere, the only person who would stick is you and yourself, so why don't you love how beautiful and strong you are?
Love the fact that you can carry on when people decide to leave, love your physical attributes, love your strength and love your flaws.
Our flaws are what makes us who we are and what makes us unique, we don't need to be perfect after all we are humans anyway.
When you do not love yourself, you begin to depend on others to make you happy and their opinion about your life matters so much to you that it begins to affect your mood.
Failing to love yourself enough leads to depression and loss of self-esteem because you worry more about other people's views about who you are. People are only parts of our lives, it is important not to make your world revive around a human because they change just as the season changes.
Nobody will love you better, nobody will treat you better, it all begins with you.
I remember a time a friend of mine told me how he admired the way I carry myself, love and pamper myself, I smiled and responded that I am my own best friend and I treat myself the way I want others to treat me.
When you talk down about yourself or lose confidence in yourself, people act accordingly, this goes to show that people take note of how you treat yourself.
There are no better ways to show self-love than accepting your flaws and showing gratitude and contentment.
When you love yourself you know when to set boundaries for yourself and when to walk away from toxicity because your peace of mind means the most to you.
When you love yourself you forgive yourself for your ugly past, you let go of anything hurting you, ease your mind and breathe.
When you love yourself even when people don't, you create happiness for yourself in even the little things in life.
Love yourself enough to celebrate your little wins without comparing yourself to others.
Loving yourself also involves looking for ways to upgrade yourself and your mindset and to be the best you can be.
This song is really powerful and I resonate so much with it because I keep looking for ways to love me even more than I did yesterday and I hope you do too.
