Coffee Prank

"Good morning baby," Jay said softly as he planted a kiss on my forehead.."Hope you slept well?" he asked and I wrapped myself up all around his arms for some cuddles and early morning kisses "Yes, baby I slept well," I replied with a beautiful smile.

"I made you coffee already," as he walked into the kitchen only to return with my favourite cup of coffee and some cookies. "Are we having breakfast in bed today?" I asked and looked at the love of my life with a sheepish smile. "Why are you being extraordinarily sweet this morning Jay?" I teased him.

"I am sweet every day, but today I want to be sweeter," he replied poking me on my nose and then he placed the tray with a cup of coffee and cookies on the bedside table. "Here you have it baby, I will be in the kitchen doing the dishes," Jay said politely and walked into the kitchen.

Eyes rolling I began to suspect his extraordinary sweetness today, first, he made me breakfast in bed for a long time and now he decided to do the dishes.

"Is there something I am missing or did he get the job offer he applied for three days ago?" I soliloquized but didn't want the thought to spoil the day so I sat up and grabbed the cup of coffee "Enjoy the moment while it lasts Ann," I told myself as I sipped the coffee. Immediately it hit my taste buds, I spat it out, it had an unpleasant taste, not like the regular coffee I used to have every morning.

As soon as I tried to call Jay, I could hear him laughing hysterically from the kitchen, he had been standing beside the door watching my reaction. "Hahahahaha.. I got you, baby, it's April Fools Day, I made you a coffee brewed with hotdog water" he said as he walked up to me to hug me because he could tell I was already upset from the stern look I gave him.

"How could you Jay, so you want to harm me because it's April Fools Day? I asked in disappointment, "No baby, it's not harmful, I wouldn't intentionally hurt the love of my life, I am sorry baby." He stroked my hair and fondled my earlobe, hmm my soft spot. "I knew something was off this morning but I couldn't figure out that it was all a prank. Damn, you got me, Jay!" I finally admitted he beat me to the prank this time.

He couldn't keep a straight face anymore and so he began to laugh again "You played a prank on me last year and I knew this year I would beat you to it. Okay, I made you real coffee to make up for it my lady," He said again.

"Wow, should we continue this game, Jay? Watch out for me next April Fools Day," I responded as I walked into the kitchen to get a real cup of coffee.."Hold on, how do I know this cup of coffee here is the real deal?" I questioned him once again with a naughty grin because he could decide to fool me once again, Jay can be naughty.

He sipped the real deal and that convinced me it was genuine. I couldn't resist the aroma coming from the brewed coffee so I took a sip once again, it tasted better, it was heavenly and all I needed to forgive was Jay.

"What's an April Fools Day without a prank?" I asked him "You know the drill baby," his smile was everything as he responded "But baby you went way far hehe, prank me with anything but not with my coffee next time." I concluded.

" I am sorry baby," he said as he held me from behind and we took a trip to the bedroom to solve some bedmatics . If you don't gerrit, forgerrit. Haha.
