Room 101
"Who's there?" Tonia was startled as she began to notice the creak of footsteps behind her. "Becky? Is that you?" She called out to Becky, her twin, who dared to visit a particular haunted house about thirty minutes ago on a trip to the fair.
The moon hung low in the sky, casting a soft, silver glow over everything in sight as Tonia, who seemed to be a very adorable lady with long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail in her mid-twenties, made her way to the old abandoned, dilapidated house a few meters away in search of Becky.
As she got closer, the pace of the footsteps intensified, causing her to jerk for a minute. Determined to look for her twin, she slowly pulled open the unlocked door with a rusty door handle. "Becky," she called out in fear as she began to hear the echoes of her voice. She stood still to observe the house when she saw bloody handwriting on the glass window. "Welcome to my world. Nobody gets out of here alive."
"What? " She whispered as she covered her mouth with her hands. Anxious to leave the place, she walked back slowly until she heard a scream. "Save me, save me." The voice sounded familiar. "Could it be Becky's?" She soliloquized as she began to fidget, and suddenly an eerie silence eluded the whole room again.
She brought out her flashlight as she walked slowly into the rooms in bravery to save Becky. She noticed the bloody footprints on the floor close to a particular room, 101, boldly written on the door frame. She knew that was where the monster was.
"Why did you come visit me?" An unknown voice began to speak in the room. Tonia stood still in front of the door leading to the room, eavesdropping. "I was curious; I heard about a certain haunted house, but I didn't believe it. Please let me go; I'll never come here again," the familiar voice replied.
"Becky!!! " Tonia cried out as she began to hit the door, which was locked from inside. "Tonia, please save me," Becky called out from inside.
"Here are the carcasses of everyone who comes looking for me; I eat them fresh." The unknown feminine voice continued, accompanied by scornful laughter and a loud cackle: "Ha-ha-ha, I see your superhero is here to save you. I bet she'll never make it out alive too."
Anxious to leave the scene, Tonia hurriedly rushed off to the door, but suddenly the door was locked. The bloody footsteps began to approach Tonia. As she looked closely, she saw an old woman who looked so pale yet fierce, with messy hair and a very long claw; her eyes were reddish, focusing her gaze on her.
"You should have decided to have fun without crossing boundaries, but you both chose to visit my home today. Welcome." The woman said that as she approached Tonia, Tonia stood motionless, trying to hold her breath, but her heart was hammering, and suddenly a cold sweat began to drip all over her body.
The old woman got hold of Tonia and took her to the room Becky was in. The room was full of carcasses and had a horrible smell. Tonia was tied to a pillar beside Becky, and as soon as the old woman turned around to grab a seat, "Argh, argh." Tonia struggled to bring out a pocket knife and loosened the rope; she pounced on the old woman, and as soon as the old woman fell, she signalled Becky to loosen herself with the knife too. "Take it and free up yourself."
They were both free; Becky and Tonia tied the old woman to the pillar as they embarked on an escape route. In about 45 minutes, they made their way through the chattering crowds and headed for home.
"I hope you realize that curiosity kills the cat; never try that again; we almost got killed in there; you just spoilt the fun we were about to have at the fair," Tonia warned Becky sternly as they hopped in their car and zoomed off.
