The Purest Love.
Love is a bond that exists between two or more people, many people come into our lives but because of one or two things, they end up leaving. Only a few will journey with you through thick and thin, those are very rare and precious.
However, nobody will love you unconditionally like your mother except your creator of course.
A woman's love for her child is so pure and deep, first of all, she keeps her life on hold to care for her little one until that child is grown enough to care for themselves.
Funny enough, no matter how grown we are, our mothers still consider us to be babies and they can sacrifice anything for our happiness.
A popular adage in my country says "Monkey no fine, but him mama like am," meaning that even a child who has disabilities or was born with a defect can still be genuinely adored by their mom.
The bond begins when we are foetus right inside of our mothers, they communicate to us, sing for us, eat what we crave and even after we are born, the love continues to grow so deep,
Our mothers have been in a life and death situation because of us, a woman who gets pregnant and nurtures a little one right inside of her has made what I call the greatest sacrifice, no friend can ever pause their life for us, no friend can ever love us as deep as our mothers.
I have heard of friends whose loyalty stops when there's nothing more to benefit, but it isn't always so with our mothers, from infancy our mothers have been our cheerleaders, you remember how they applaud your first step? How do they encourage you to concentrate in class and come out with flying colours? How do they lay their hands upon you and pray for you to succeed? And the time you let them down, how they don't rub it to your face, but still find a way to forgive you, how about the sleepless nights to ensure we have a safe sleep? The list is endless.
I cannot describe what Unconditional love is without likening it to motherly love, of course, our siblings love us and our family does too, but I stand to be corrected that it cannot be compared to that of a mother's love, have you seen a mother hen before? How protective she is of her chics? This is because a mother's love stands the test of time, it is limitless until her last breath.
In a selfish world, it is hard to find one who loves you unconditionally, there is always a reason for loving a person, and once that reason is no longer valid, they begin to unlove you gradually.
If you find someone who is selfless, accepts you for who you are, adds meaning to your life, allows you become vulnerable around than and does not guilt trip you, please hold onto them, them no reach five for this world again, hehe (just kidding.)
This is another reason why we should cherish our mothers and not despise them in old age, for no one can love us better than they ever did. Our money cannot even buy that kind of love and we cannot even repay them for all they've ever done.
